"My signature is not visible at all — the pixels got blurred"

The classic over-compression failure, straight from IBPS Clerk applicant threads on Quora. Generic compressors slash JPEG quality to force the file under the 20KB signature cap, destroying thin pen strokes at 140×60px. A real Quora complaint from an IBPS Clerk applicant. The CSA-XVI form has four separate image slots — photo, signature, left thumb impression (240×240px, 20–50KB), and handwritten declaration (800×400px, 50–100KB) — and a wrong-slot upload can invalidate the application if not fixed in the 2-day edit window. "I reused my SBI Clerk handwritten declaration in the IBPS form"

Another documented mistake: declaration wording differs across exams. Annexure IV of the CSA-XVI notification prescribes the exact text — “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.” It must be in English, in your own handwriting, in black ink — written by anyone else or in another language makes the application invalid.

"The declaration looks cut off / too short in the application printout"

Aspect-ratio distortion: the declaration slot expects 800×400px (a 2:1 shape), and squeezing a differently-proportioned scan into it stretches or crops the text. Always resize with the ratio locked rather than free-form stretching — the same principle this page applies to the 20:23 photo and 7:3 signature crops.

"I signed in capital letters" (or worried about small letters)

Annexure IV prohibits signatures and declarations written in capital letters. Writing in ordinary small or mixed-case running hand is exactly what IBPS wants — that confusion appears in forums every cycle. Re-sign in your natural style with black ink on white paper and re-upload within the window if you submitted a block-capitals signature.

"I wrote the declaration in blue ink instead of black"

The declaration must be in black ink per Annexure IV; the left thumb impression is the only upload where black or blue ink is accepted. If you used blue for the declaration, rewrite it in black and replace the file before final submission — document verification compares these uploads against what you produce physically later.

"My live photo capture keeps failing or does not match my uploaded photo"

CSA-XVI requires a live photograph via webcam or mobile QR in addition to the uploaded 200×230px photo. Reported failure modes: camera permission denied in the browser, dim or backlit rooms, motion blur, and mismatches such as glasses in one image but not the other. Use a device with a working camera, bright frontal lighting, and the same appearance as your uploaded photo.
