WhatsApp Link Generator
Built for Indian businesses — country-code dropdown defaults to +91, generates the link and a downloadable QR in one step, with a live preview of how the message will look when WhatsApp opens.
Spaces, dashes, and brackets are stripped automatically. If you paste a number that already includes the country code, it won't be added twice.
How to Use
- 1. Enter your WhatsApp number
Pick your country code from the dropdown and type the rest of your phone number. The tool strips spaces, dashes, and brackets automatically — paste any format.
- 2. Add a prefilled message (optional)
Type the message you want the customer to see when they open WhatsApp. Leave blank to send them straight to a fresh chat.
- 3. Copy the link or download the QR
Click Copy to grab the wa.me link for your bio, website, or Google Business profile. Click Download QR to save the image for posters and packaging.
Why Use This Tool
A wa.me link is WhatsApp's official click-to-chat format: https://wa.me/ followed by your full number in international format, with an optional ?text= parameter that prefills the first message. For a small business, that one link removes the biggest friction in starting a conversation — the customer doesn't have to save your number, find you in contacts, or type a greeting. They tap, WhatsApp opens with the message ready, and they hit Send. Put it in an Instagram bio, a Google Business profile, a website chat button, or behind a QR on packaging.
The two things that silently break hand-built links are the number format and the message encoding. The number must be country code plus subscriber number with no plus sign, spaces, or dashes — 919876543210 for an Indian number, never just the 10 digits. And the prefilled message must be URL-encoded, so spaces become %20 and characters like & or ? don't get swallowed as URL syntax. This tool handles both automatically: it normalizes whatever number format you paste and runs the message through proper encoding, so the link works the first time on Android, iOS, and WhatsApp Web.
A prefilled message also does quiet lead-tagging for you. Set a different starter text per placement — "Hi, I saw your Instagram page" versus "Hi, I'm interested in the pamphlet offer" — and every incoming chat tells you where the customer came from before you have asked a single question. Everything is generated in your browser; your number and message are never sent to any server.
Runs entirely in your browser. No waiting in queues, no server round-trips — output appears the moment you act.
Your files and text never leave your device. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or logged on any server.
Use every feature without an account, watermark, or paywall. Open the page and start working.
